John Cate, Sr. : John's service in the Revolutionary was has been proven and
several descendants belong to the DAR. September 1975 a marker to his memory
was placed in the cemetery in Dumplin by the Spencer Clark Chapter DAR of
Sevierville.
Burial: Dumplin Valley Cemetery, Jefferson Co., TN.
