A while back I received info from here about Ephraim Estridge Cate and his
wife Rebecca Lindsey and their parents. The info, I think from Al Baumbach,
said Rebecca's Mom was Delilah Hodgson Brewer and Dad was James Lindsey. In
looking for more info on Lindsey, I found the info below. Does anyone have
anything on Delilah and where the Hodgson came in?
Thanks.

I assume it was not for Hogdon. It would not have been for Hastings since
there was no Hastings connection until a Delilah (if named Lindsay or
Lindsey) born in 1802 married William Hastings (b. 1800) in c1820-1824.
In
1884 just before her death, widow Delilah Hastings, wife of deceased
William
C. Hastings, was under guardianship and her mind gone. As such, no
relevant
papers survived.
Someone faxed me the page regarding the Lindsay Mill reference in KY. Not
even close since it didn't give any detail or connection to James Lindsay
himself.
