I just got home, but will get back tomorrow or tonight, I knew a young lady
who worked in the archives search room in NC, she was of my Ramey (& all
other spellings) line. I will check tonight. I have more but nothing of
real interest. I was going to call NC Archives tomorrow so this would be
timely. I will try.

Subject: Re: John Cate Will
Paul, this is exciting we need to get a copy of the 1793 will. I have
a lot of abstracts that Kay Craft sent me but I don't have this one.
However the John & Priscilla LLoyd that married 21 Nov 1797 & went to
Franklin Co. TN. are not the ones in the will.
These children have the same names as in your Richard line & in John
Sr. of Jefferson Co. line. Ruth Cate had mentioned that Richard &
John Sr. could be related. John Sr. was born ca. 1753 so wouldn't be
one of the children but related somehow.
Could it be an earlier John Cate & Priscilla Lloyd? Did the will
name Priscilla as the wife?
Does anyone have a contact to get a copy of the will from the
Archives. It takes so long to get them by mail.
Roberta
