Hello again, here's my line:
I am searching for Cates information concerning Cates family that came to Bibb
County around 1818. There is a Justice of the Peace, John Cates, who fits the
date and location of my John Cates, Sr. and interestingly enough, two of my
John Cates children are named for other circuit judges in the surrounding area
(Hilliard Judge Cates and Joshua West Cates) but I can find no record of
where this Judge John Cates came from or if his wifes name was Elenor.
Any connections between him and the list below or any other info on the
following would be greatly appreciated!
