You may be right about the changeling name of Jehu/John but there was a
flurry of discussion on the NC-SC list just a few days ago on the
Christian name of Jehu. Below is one of the notes posted there:

In my Manard-Cate line, the biblical names of Meshack, Shadrack and
Abednego were quite popular but like as not they also called themselves
Marshall, Shade and Ben. Can't say I'd blame them much.
