Why do we need an association? seems to me that is money for something we
could be spending on further research. most associations i have seen just block
the progress of others doing research because of the money that is needed to
join the stupid association in the first place.
i'd rather keep it free and donate my money to DNA testing of those who
can't afford it and need to find their lines.
just my thoughts on this. i for one won't join if membership dues are
necessary.

I don't know why it couldn't be free to belong. I don't think we're far
enough along. We're just trying to see if there is any interest.
On the other hand, if folks wanted to pay for membership that money could
fund folks entering the DNA study.
What would you like to see an organization do? What are folks thoughts?
