I believe to be most useful a roll call needs to include dates and places
to give the names some context. Therefore:
My CATE "line" contains one person, Margery CATE. She married Henry DAY
(1762 NC - 1839) March 1788 in Caswell Co., NC. The bondsman for their
marriage was John CATE.
They both died in Sumner Co., TN. Those between them and me include:
Robert C. DAY (1812 in TN - 1866, Sumner Co TN)
m Nancy ROBERTSON (b 1817) abt 1836 in TN
Henry "Harry" Mitchell DAY (1838, Sumner Co TN -1901, Dallas TX)
m Harriet C BYRNS (b 1832 in TN) 1859 in Sumner Co TN
James Elisha DAY (1863, Sumner Co - 1937, Dallas TX)
m Alice D McMURRAY (1863, Sumner Co - 1932, Vickery TX) 1888
in Dallas
Bettye M DAY (b 1905 - Dallas TX)
m Julius C WATKINS (1900, Louisville KY - 1987, TX)
1921 in Dallas
My father then me.

I would like to hear from any of the Cate/s researchers that have an Isaiah
Cate/s in the late 1700 to abt 1835 in their files.
My Norwood Cates had a brother, Isaiah, and they both removed to Rutherford
CO TN. Isaiah's wife was Sale (Sally) on the 1850 census. I think this may
be the Isaiah Cate marriage to Sally Manor in 1823 in Oj CO NC>
I have had contact recently with new researchers that are also seeking data
on an Isaiah in the early yrs but not the one in my line.
I would also like to hear from any of you that had Cate ancestors in the
very western counties of TN in the early 1800s.
Regards, Bettye Heinrich
