Good morning Bernard,
It was great to read that you are 75 years of age and still "with it"
with modern technology. There is hope for all of us!
I saw you appeal for CASWELL and read your interesting potted history.
I have CASWELL in my tree and I am stuck. I am wondering whether you
have come across the following in your research. Or maybe you will make
a note of mine and let me know if you strike it lucky.
Elizabeth CASWELL bap 27 Mar 1655 Leominster, Herefordshire married
Johannes PREDDITH (b 1652) at Orcop, HEF on 27 October 1679
(PREDDITH could easily appear as PREADY PRIDDITH PREEDY PRYDY and any
other variation. The best way to pronounce his name is to pinch your
nose and say it out loud to see what you get!)
Her parents were Thomas CASWELL b1625c and Elizabeth --- b1633c
Married 1654c
That is all the information that I have.
You may be interested to know that my Brother's Daughter married a man
who has Cree ancestors from Quebec.
All the best with your research and I hope that you have many, many
years ahead of you to continue this fascinating hobby.
