Dear Members
First off, I must apologize for not checking the URL more closely. The
site I thought I was going to was
texas.NET not
texas.COM. My error has
caused a stir and it is my full intention of ending it here. I am so
truly sorry to have caused any of you discomfort.
Anyroad...
I'm sure you've all received Mr. Rod Troch's email regarding the spam
mailing we all received regarding the adult site.
He sent me two emails, both of which I have replied to. The first of
these here:
Rod Troch wrote:
Dear Sir,
Don't be such a lemming. Please take the time to read what
you are
complaingin about rather then just following the word of
someone else.
Due to Mr. Caswell's poor judgement he has confused
texas.COM with
texas.NET (the site of the spam you are complainging
about). Due to his
posting we,
texas.COM, are having to deal with these
complaints.
I am expecting a public apology from you for your spamming
of
texas.COM
Sincerely,
Rod Troch

My reply follows:
Dear Mr. Troch,
On behalf of the Caswell listserve members, I offer my
humblest apologies to you
and your company. I will take full responsibility for the
mix-up between your fine
server and
texas.net.. When I went to your site it was with
the intention of
contacting
texas.net. Not, as it may appear, to spam your
server. It is my hope
that you see this error as it is, a case of mistaken identity.
Again, I am truly sorry for starting what was meant with good
intention only to
result in disturbing the innocent.
This will not happen again.
Mary Ward
The reply to the second email, the one you've all received, is as
follows:
Dear Mr. Troch
My reply to your last email was sent before I received your
second email. I'm
in the process of emailing all the members telling them of my
mistake.
Do you truly want all 250 of us to email you again? I think
this would only
again spam-jam your server with many emails causing you more
lost revenue. But
if this is your wish, let me know and I will take care of it
immediately. As
you stated below, it was an error, and as such, I hope it can
be put behind
us.
Respectfully,
Mary Ward
BTW, as I write this I've received yet another email from Mr. Troch. I
think he's through ranting... Here it is:
Ms. Ward,
I received your message shortly after sending mine. Yes, our
notes
crossed in the email. There is no need to forward my note to
the list if
you are in the process of sending a similar message.
Thank you,
Rod Troch

Dear List subscribers,
It is unfortunate that I have to email your list but I must put an end to
what appears to be a typographical error.
It appears that a user at
texas.NET spammed your list. While someone
tried to do the right thing by asking all 250 list subscribers to email
webmaster(a)texas.COM complaining, that little typo between NET and COM has
caused us a grief of havoc not to mention the lost revenue we are now
experiencing due to the burdon trying to stop the SPAM whtat we are
receiving from you.
Please, direct your complaints to someone at
texas.NET and not
texas.COM.
Please, do not be a lemming and just "do what you are told." Take the
time to read the original message. You will see that it clearly stated
texas.NET (multiple times).
We,
Texas.COM, are expecting a full apology from those that emailed to
texas.COM. Our reputation is now at stake.
Your spamming should never have happened. If the list owner was
proactive with regards to spam stopping, this list should not be open to
non-subscribers.
Thank you,
Rod Troch
