I couldn't find anything, sorry. But I've forwarded your email to the
Caswell list server. I hope someone else can help you.

Subject: CASWELLs of Staffordshire
Hello Mike
I wonder if you could help my with the following query?
My 3 x Great Grandfather John CASWELL married Mary HILL on 5 Jul 1813 at
St
Mary's Church, Kingswinford, Staffordshire, both listed as living
in the
village. They later moved just down the road to Sedgley also in
Staffordshire.
I always assumed (silly I know!!!) that John was born locally, but I've
recently got a copy of the 1841 Census for Coppice (in the Parish of
Sedgley) that states that he was NOT born in the county but "Born in
Scotland, Ireland or Foreign parts" whatever that means.
The Census states that John (aged 47) & Mary CASWELL (49) are living in
Coppice with their children, Thomas (18), John (16), Robert (14), Hannah
(12), Mary (10), Sarah (8) and Joseph (5).
Assuming (there's that word again!) that John gave his age correctly then
he
would have been born c.1794. Do you have anyone in your database that
might
fit with this information.
Many thanks and best wishes
Ian
