The other day I saw where for four more days, till the end of Nov., on
_www.ancestry.com_ (
http://www.ancestry.com/) there is free access to the
Passenger and Immigration Lists Index, 1500s-1900s. It was easy to use and although I
didn't find everything I'd like to find, I did find the information on
citizenship for one great-grandfather.
Then I went to _www.familysearch.org_ (
http://www.familysearch.org) and put
in the same name and it came back with the marriage date & location for the
same great-grandfather and my great-grandmother.
I had never had any luck finding anything there before, so it's a good idea
to recheck sites, from time to time.
Another place I'm going to recheck is _www.genforum.com_
(
http://www.genforum.com) .

Hi Beulah:
Thank you so much as i have never been able to get into that site. I have a
Charles W. Caswell born in NY somewhere and died in Rock Island, Illinois.
Never have found anything about him. Can't even find him in a census. Only
thing I have found is his marriage on the illinois site. Really frustrating me.

Hi Gail:
I just tried to get in, and couldn't, SO, I contacted the fellow who
originally set up the site. When I get his reply, I will pass it
on to
you.
There used to be password to access the different sites, so it was
not too
difficult.
