Hello to all,
I know that some of you also research the RENYOLDS Family.
I have a question for you:
I have these marriage notes in my records:
Marriage Index: Massachusetts, 1633-1850
Caswell, Joshua Sex : M
Spouse : Reynolds, Elie
Marriage Date : Nov 19, 1775
Town : Middleborough
County : Plymouth
Family History Library Film # 0945011-0945012
Caswell, Joshua, Jr. Sex : M
Spouse : Reynolds, Mrs. Elce
Marriage Date : Jul 2, 1775
Town : Middleborough
County : Plymouth
Family History Library Film # 0945011-0945012
Married by Ebenezer Hinds, Bapt. minister.
Why both have the same film # I do not know.... I will have to do some
digging in my written notes.
We have always thought that Alice aka Ellie aka Elce was the son of
Electious Reynolds and Charity Caswell. But I have never seen her listed
as a child of theirs in any record other then the DAR work of a Mrs.
Jamison and I do not know her "source" for this information.
Because of the second marriage record which by the way has the date for
the marriage intentions, I am wondering if "Alice" was a widow and her
first husband was a REYNOLDS.
Does anyone have any information or clues for me? Are there any
Reynolds spouses named Alice, Elce, or Elie that could have married
again in 1775?
Kathy
