I received this email tonite. I know some of you are working on this line
and would be of more help to Amy than I would.

Nancy,
I came across your direct line of Caswells. I was hoping you could help
me. I am looking for a Benjamin Franklin Caswell. He was born in or near
Fall River, Mass. on May 22, 1828 or May 28, 1828 in Bristol County. At
12 his mother died and his father remarried. He and his stepmom didn't
get along, so his dad got him a job on a sailing vessel bound for
Charleston. When in Charleston, he jumped ship and ended up in Heard
County, Georgia (about 60 miles SW of Atlanta on the GA AL line). I
noticed on your line of decendants there was a Benjamin Caswell that
married a Lydia Miller Wood around the time my Benjamin would have been
born. This couple had a Benjamin Foster Caswell. Could the middle names
have been mixed up? I truly hope this is my Benjamin F. Caswell. Can you
help me? I am trying to determine who Benjamin's parents were, names
DOB, marriage dates. I know wht happened to Benjamin once he got to GA.
He did fight in the Civil War on the confederate side. Please respond if
you have ANY information related to my ancestors. Maybe we are distantly
linked! I have eamil at work and home. The addresses are:
macamy(a)bellsouth.net (Home email)
anoles(a)orwell.coweta.k12.ga.us (Work email)
Thanks so much!
