Subject: I have a genealogy link from James McKeown m Ann Baskerville?
Hi Mike, I'm trying to run down some of my McKeown cousins, family
information.
I ran across some "Ancestry Files" and "Pedigree Resource
Files" which include information I am trying to verify.
My great-aunt Annie Turnbull m James McKeown, son of James
McKeown
& Ann (McKeown). I recently ran across an Ancestry file which had The
name
of Ann Baskerville for James McKeown's spouse.
The problem I'm having with that file is the
"Submitter(s): MARY
E GARBUTT" is someone who has been making some errors
in their information
lately, and I haven't been able to prove any of the information. She also
has her name in some of my other family information as well, which hasn't
been correct.
I would like to be able to add this information to my family
tree,
but I would also like to be abe to do it with the certainty the information
is correct.
Then I ran across your Baskerville file which includes my
McKeowns. It also appears from a Caswell name in that file, you might even
know what you are talking about. By the way, some of the McKeown children
(John and Elizabeth) went to Winnipeg with my great-aunt and James after
they married in Simcoe County. They were there on the 1881 Canadian Census.
We have a family member who does a lot of our research and
virifications on information we have gathered. It's always better when you
have the hard copy information, and it's especially, really uplifting too,
kinda like finding buried treasure. I would like very much to hear from you
as to how much information you have gathered on this family, and to share
what I have also.
I also did a search on James McKeown for 1881 and he was
living
alone. Can you verify for me that Ann was indeed, Ann Baskerville?
Dottie.
