Thank you so much. I never thought about him being adopted. Makes you
wonder
about why and what happened to his parents. He was married in Cincinati in
1822.
One source I have seen shows their daughter Margaret Indiana Caswell being
born in Lawerenceburg, Deaborn County Indiana and another shows her being
born
in Boston.
She married Joseph Adams Hall from Boston.
Thank you again for the information and I will join the Ohio list. At some
point they all moved to New Orleans and Daniel and Mary died there.
Margaret
remarried after the death of Joepsh and died in Pike Co. MS
I wonder if there would be something in the probate records that might
indicate the reason for the adoption. Next time I get to Hartford I'll take
a look. I tried to go last week and there was so much snow there was no
place to park! Even the garage I go to as a last resort was full!
