Hi George: Yes, that was the Sarah Nicholson, who married George
Alexander
Robinson. He was buried 2 June 1972 in Emmanuel cemetery. George Alexander
Robinson died 11 Feb. 1972 at Ocean View Manor, Cole Harbour, N.S. and was
buried Eammanuel cemetery, Spryfield. He was born in Harrietsfield on 2
July 1886, bapt. at Harrietsfield 11 May 1887 (record from St. Paul's,
Halifax).
Children of George and Sadie:
1. Christina Belle Robinson, born 25 Oct. 1908, died 12 Jan. 1984, buried
Emmanuel cemetery. She married 29 0ct. 1933 at Trinity Church, Halifax,
Arthur Charles Purcell, son of Arthur William and Charlotte Aurillia
(Robinson) Purcell. Looks like they were first cousins because Arthur's
mother was a sister to Christina's father.
2. Maynard Alexander, born 4 Mar. 1911, bapt. 23 May 1911 at Spryfield. He
died 31 May 1968, buried Spryfield. He married 2 June 1930 at Emmanuel,
Ethel Louise Bentley , born abt. 1903. She died 20 Dec. 1971 in Spryfield.
3. Lawrence Sinclair, born 2 mar. 1914 in Spryfield. I have no info on
him.
4. Ellen Gertrude, born 13 Jan. 1917 in Spryfield; died 20 May 1990
in
Spryfield; married John Lively, born abt. 1916, died 3 Apr. 1989 in
Spryfield. Both are buried St. John's cemetery, Halfiax.
As for Bessie Caswell, I have nothing on her except she was in a census
record as one of six children living in Harrietsfield. She appears as the
third child, between her two sisters, born in 1879 and 1883. Sisters were
Charlotte Aurelia (mentioned above), Florence who married Thomas Flanagan,
Christine Alice who married Michael Worth, and two brothers, George and
William. These six children also had a half sister Mary, the child of
their
mother's first marriage to James Bennet of Harrietsfield. This
family of
Robinsons is tied into the Marriotts and my Umlahs of Goodwood.
I am not sure if I answered what you asked, George. I am assuming you have
the rest of the Nicholsoins. I gave what I had to Marsha Hillson Gerace
who
has has put it all on her website.
Iris.
