These are not mine. I found this while hunting for mine and thought it might
be of interest to the List.
I descend from John CASWELL who showed up in Lincoln County, KY in early
1780's.Where he came from I have no idea. Some times it seems he came from a
little white cloud.
I am always looking for any clue of who his family was.

Dave,
He's one of mine.
A. M. Caswell was Alphonso M. Caswell.
He was the son of my Great Grandfather's older brother.
This family is descended from Thomas Caswell and Mary ? of Taunton in this
way:
Thomas Caswell and Mary ?
thier son:
William b. 1660
and Mercy Lincoln
their son:
Jotham Casweell b. abt 1696
and
Mary Reynolds
their son:
Joshua Caswell Sr. b. March 22, 1748/49
and
Alice Reynolds
their son:
Jothan Caswell born between 1775 and 1780
and
Mary Worden
their son
Lorenzo D. Caswell b. 1811
and
Eliza H. Holt
their son:
Alphonso M. Caswell
b. August 25, 1834
married
Lovenia C. Barker
They had one daughter:
Carrie M. Caswell , b. 1862
and adopted the son of Lorenzo's sister:
Almeron Alphonso FOLLETTE Caswell
There was also another son of Joshua Caswell Sr. (b. in 1748) that settled
in Indiana. This would be the ones that settled in Warrick County,
Indiana.
Another branch of this family ( Corbin Caswell, the son of Jotham Caswell
b.
1775 - 1780 and Mary Worden) settled in Wood County, Ohio.
I have lots on these family lines if anyone connects.
