Subject: [CASWELL list] Hannah Caswell, Windsor & Addison Co.s, VT, 1805-
Beginning research on the wife of Ebenezer Lamphere, a Hannah
Caswell.
The
couple married 5 Apr 1804 in Hartland, VT (as recorded in town
records).
The
couple moved to Addison co, VT sometime after 1810 and before 1820. I
have
no
information on Hannah--would like to learn parent's names,
siblings, and
her
children's names.
I am a Lamphere descendent and believe these are the parents of my
earliest
known ancestor, Loyd Lamphere/Lamphier. Quite a bit of
circumstantial
evidence but no proof. Ebenezer appears in census records but can't find
birth records, land records, or probate records. Per census the couple
should
have abut 8 children: 5 boys and 3 girls. Other surnames connected
to the
couple: Everett, White, McCauley.
Some Caswell names in same general vicinity of VT: Elmer H.; Julias;
Nathan;
Thomas; and Stephen. All names appear in the 1810-1840 census.
Would
anyone
know these men? Can anyone eliminate or confirm they had a daughter
ca 20
by
1804 or maybe a sister named Hannah?
Thanks for any help you can provide,
Marcia
