I wouldn't be surprised if he is from the Taunton area line. There were
tons of shoe factories in the area. I know my line were either workers in
the shoe factories and/or farmers. Of Course the William name is familiar
in the family too. In the database I have there about 20 of them,
unfortunately none of them match the dates that you have. I don't have very
much on the Canadian lines.

I have some of the same names and have no idea what line my g.grandfather,
William Carey Caswell comes from. I have Elnora, Laura, and William. My
g.grandmother was from Barrie, Simcoe County, Ontario, so he must have met
her there. However we have found very little information on him at all
other
than he was born in 1812 and died in 1863 in Ontario. He was a shoe maker.
