Here is the obituary of my uncle, Warren Howard Caswell of Rye, NH published
in the Portsmouth Herald newspaper, Portsmouth, NH on November 5, 2002. He
was a descendant of the Caswell's that originally settled on Star Island
part of the Isles of Shoals off the New Hampshire seacoast in the 1700s who
later moved ashore to Rye, NH.

Warren Howard Caswell
RYE, NH - Warren H. Caswell, 83, of 121 Washington Road, and a winter
resident of Florida for the last 15 years, died Sunday, Nov. 3, 2002, at his
home.
Born in Rye on April 20, 1919, he was a son of the late Chester W. and
Astrid (Swensson) Caswell. He graduated from the University of New Hampshire
on May 25, 1941. He was a World War II United States Army veteran, serving
under General Patton during the Battle of the Bulge. Prior to his retirement
in 1984, he was employed as a lift operator and truck driver for Rand Lumber
in Rye. He was a lifelong avid lobsterman out of Rye Harbor and for many
years ran a farm stand in Rye.
He was a member of the American Legion and the Rising Star Masonic Lodge #47
of Newmarket and was an avid gardener.
He was predeceased by his wife, Althea (Willey) Caswell; and friend Helen
Macewich.
