Can anyone help this gent please. I'm not sure which files are more relevant.
BTW
The mention of this connection to Thomas Caswell of North Curry, is Simply a figment of
someone's imagination. I have NEVER seen ANY PROOF that there is a connection between
the States and Somerset. This incorrect data has been bandied around for years and has
almost passed into 'law' now.
You should ALL delete this name from your files. It is sending you in the wrong direction.
Do more research!!!!!!!!!!
UNLESS someone can show me the PROOF!!!!!!!!!!

Subject: Caswell family GEDCOM files
Hi Mike -
I'm new at this, but have traced my grandmother (born Edna Mearle Caswell (born 29 Jan
1892 in Derby Line, VT) back through my 5 great grandfather, Nathan Caswell (born 1712),
who left Middleborough, MA for Vermont, and then back to my 8 great grandfather, Thomas
Caswell, (born 20 Oct 1618 in North Curry, Sommerset, England) who settled in Taunton.
A question and a request.
1) which of the GEDCOM files listed in your site would be most useful, and could you
forward them to me please?
2) I can go back from Thomas (cited above, born 1618) to John (born 1513 in Weedon,
Northampton, England). Is there anything further back than this? Also, the tree thins
out signficiantly in regards mothers and information on mothers' families
pre-immigration. Any data there?
Again, as I say, I am new and probably have made many, many mistakes in my research so
far, but delighted to share what I have if it would help anyone.
Regards,
Peter Simpson
