Priscilla I AM IN LOVE!
I have helped lots of people in finding there family and have been helped
couple times and both are a great feeling but this is the best. I only have
one line that I can not find that is of a later date then this.
Yes Susan married Richard Talpey Nov. 13, 1802 in York, Maine. I have eight
children. Mary Apr. 16, 1803, William 1805, Rufus 1806, Paulina 1809, John
1812, Richard 1814, Samuel 1816 and George 1819. Mary married John Simpson
June 20, 1824 and on goes my line. I have about 140 descendants of Sarah in
my program.
Looking forward to seeing what you have for my tree.
Mark Caswell is also interested in this line. Maybe we can help him also.
I have never been out to the Isles of Shoals. Going to this summer. My 7th
GT. Grandfather Rev. Robert Jordan is said to have conducted church services
on the Isles but lived first at Cape Elizabeth, Maine and later at Great
Island (Newcastle) NH. He died there July 28, 1679.
Will share any or all my info that you would like to have.

If you find that Susan ties into the Caswell's of Southern NH please let
me know. I've been trying to find the origin of the Isle of Shoals
Caswells and I don't know weather they came directly from England, moved
over from the Kittery area or came up from Taunton MA. Any help would be
greatly appreciated.

My Caswell line comes from the Isles of Shoals and then to York. This Susan
I am talking about married Richard Talpey. Do you have him in your line, if
so I may be able to help you more. Priscilla
It's not usual to meet someone with the same name as I but yours is pretty
close.

Daniel Caswell Sr(1692-1788) (Thomas,Thomas) of the Taunton Caswells. - who
m. Mary (?)
they had Nathan,David,Alice,Daniel,Mary,Thomas,Deborah and Jael.
Of note it was indicated by George Freeman Sanborn that he was probably not
married and had no issue.
I was quite surprised to learn that two volumes later in his works that an
addendum of corrections indicated that a reference was made at the time of
his death - to a small legacy to his wife. thats very interesting. I had
heretofore discounted this
Daniel Caswell Jr completely to this point.
Has anyone found any references to a married of Daniel Caswell jr to a ???
or any children.
I also note that Daniels sister Alice m. Benjamin Hayford - he is also
brother to John Hayford who married Lydia Pierce.
Lydia Pierce m second Aaron Seekins. It is this Aaron Seekins who is the
progenator of most of the Seekins if not all in that
area. Moses Seekins not known tohave had children - leaving only Aaron.
In any case ... Mercy Seekins of Raynham who m. Elijah Caswell - this is
North Middelboro. Daniel Caswell and his
family resided also in North Middleboro - Titicut parish.
Elijah Caswell - has a son named Daniel next after his own namesake. Alice
Caswell of Daniel children are related to
the Hayford via a mariage thru the Seekins - not by blood but by marriage.
I find this very interesting.
Jack
My husband's Father, Sylvester Caswell, had an older brother that married a
Ward woman and moved to Texas. My husband thinks his name was John. This
couple had one son and the son had several children, but my husband can not
remember their names. Will ask other family members and see if they
remember. Oh, they left from Northwest Florida . Freeport, Florida in
Walton County. It was once known as Genoa.
Does anyone recognise this caswell line?

Hi Mike, my name is Teresa Craddock and I've just started tracing my family tree. I just found out that my father's mother, who died 10 days after he was born is Ordie Caswell. I thank you for submitting the information that made my job so easy. I was amazed that her fathers' side of the family tree went back to 1614! I'm assuming you are a Caswell by your E mail address, not to mention the work you've done with the genealogy.
What kind of proof do you need to fill in blank spaces, like "living Craddock"? Let me know when you get a chance.

Steve,
The only thing I've found was in the Vital Records of Plymouth, MA to 1850.
They had a publishment (intention) 31 Oct 1793. They were married in
Plymouth by Abner Bartlett, Esq. 07 Nov 1793. In both the intention and the
marriage is states that Thomas is of Carver and Susanna is of Plymouth.
