Hi,
Do you have dates for Asa CASWELL or the names of his parents?
Where did Asa marry?
I found a record for a Asa Caswell and Lucinda Lewis marrying on Nov 3,
1839 in Jackson, Michigan.
I don't know if the other "girls" are related to Isabel, but I wouldn't
be surprised.
I am still looking for some connection to my CASWELL line and would be
interested in what ever information you have.

message: Hi, I'm looking for information regarding one DeiGratia Caswell.
She was my GGgrandmother. Probably born in the 1810s or 1820s.
She married Thomas Kewin (b.Isle of Man 1805) and bore him at least two children, James and William, somewhere in Canada. Something
in the back of my mind says East Stanstead, Ontario. I appreciate any help you can provide in this matter.
Thanks,
Bill
This is probably not a match but I have Caswells in Lorain and Cuyahoga about
the same time. One is a Fanny H (Frances?) Caswell born 1829, Conn who
attended Baldwin Wallace College 1847-1849. Another sister is Ageline
(Jennie?) born 1840, Lorainn Co.

This is the line I am researching. William John Abbott married Isabel Marion Caswell. My records show the
marriage on November 2, 1859 and Isabel's parents as Asa Caswell and Lucinda Lewis. I am very interested in
knowing if Francis, Jennie and Hattie Caswell in your post were siblings of Isabel. Thanks. Terrie

I have no dates for these. I thought that I saw someone looking for this line
on here once. We do have all of the other family members names and dates so if
anyone is from this O'Neal family they are linked to Benjamin Franklin Caswell
line.

You must be reading it wrong.
What is on the CD, is the exact same data that is in the Encyclopedia.
The author of the book is Noreen Haler, she gave me the database, and you
may write to her @ 310 Lakeview Dr
Grand Prairie
Tx 75051
But I can tell you all now, Noreen doesn't have copies of this, nor is she
going to.
The CD is it folks!

I wonder why it wasn't included in the CASWELL CD? I figured that would
be part of the pkg.

This O'Neal family is a line that is tied with our family line. Ida
Lavinia Caswell is the daughter of Benjamin Franklin and Charity Ann
Jackson Caswell. I recall seeing this line on here once before. If this
is your line send us a message. The O' Neals lived in Tom Green County
and I have no state listing.

OOOPS....I didn't want you all to think I was planning this thing for this year. I've never planned a reunion before, so I'm going to need lots of guidance and help! I would like to see it happen in 2001.
Nancy
Southern New England Ghost Hunters Society

Autism Society of Cleveland TN
http://members.tripod.com/~smkymtgrl/redclaychapterindex.htm
I've noticed that a lot more people are piping up on the list so I'm going to send this out again.
I thought it would be a great idea to have a reunion of the Taunton Caswell's. We would have it held in Taunton and be able to check out the cemeteries, town halls, historical societies, anything that could aid our research. I know Middleboro is extremely helpful at the town hall and their library has an excellant genealogy room. They have (I believe) all of the available MA vital records to 1850 books there. The towns in the vicinity are not very far away (they are pretty small towns!!) so it would be easy to get around. I thought it might be neat to have it in October since that was Thomas' birthday. (Cheaper rates too) or we could do it in the summer.
We could incorporate a trip to Plymouth Plantation (a working 1640's village) and see how Thomas and his family and neighbors lived. There's also the Ocean State Cranberry musuem nearby, and Plymouth itself is really a nice town.
I only got a couple of responses before, so I'd like to hear more input from all of you. Also if you have off-line Caswell families that you know about, they are more than welcome. I was just thinking too, it would great if we could get Noreen Haler and M. Joan Smith to be there with us. I don't have very much immediate Caswell family left and I would be so thrilled to meet some cousins and such!
So, please, let's hear some feedback gang!
Nancy
