Hi Garry and All,
I received some verbal information from the genealogist at the
Montgomery County, PA Historical Society. She said she is also a Custer
and has done extensive research on the family over the last 20 years.
She told me that I am from Arnold Kuster c.1669 and Rebecca, to Paul
c.1710 and Sarah Martha Ball, to William c.1753 and Margaret Willits, to
John c. 1784 and Elizabeth Osborn, to George W. Custer c.1823 and
Wilhemina Osborn c. 1825. Although I believe this to be possible, I
don't know where Sarah Griffith Custer (the Sarah in the 1860 Census
data) comes in the picture. I believe I show a Mary E. Custer listed as
a child of George and Wilhemina on the WEB last night. In the 1869
census, George and Sarah have their oldest child listed as Mary E.
Possibly, he had a 2nd wife and she raised his oldest child?
Does anyone have any additional information on Wilhemina Osborn Custer?
Is she related to Elizabeth Osborn? Is this line from General Custer's
line? Thanks to all for the help.
Regards,
Linda
