Hello Bob!
I came accross your inquiry regarding the Holder's. Let me tell you
where we are and see if you have came accross anything. I have printed
out your info, incase I come accross anything, too.
We are stuck!... My G-G-Grandfather was Greenway Thomas Holder. We cant
find him at all. His son, my G-Grandfather was William Greenway Holder.
>From the census, it states that he was born in NC in 1867, but no county
named. We do not know when he came to MO. However, we find him in Butler
County, MO. in 1889 marrying Elizabeth Turpin. They resided there.
They had 8 children, Julia Mae, Cassie, James, John, Charles Monroe,
Dewey (Dude), Walter and Marcia (Betsy).
I have most of the info on these 8 children, incase you find that they
connect.
On William Greenway's death certificate it states that Greenway Thomas
was from SC. (However, William's census records states that he was born
in NC) .
Any info you have would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks,
Cindy Holder Owens
P>S> I do have my inquiry
Genform.genealogy.com/holder
I also put it on Greenway in case that he was named after his mother's
maiden name.
