To the list,
Sorry about leaving off the address before. Here is what I meant to send.
Dean Williams
I have a small photo album that belonged to Myrtle West
KESTER (born Myrtle V. WEST, March 1882, Wirt County, West
Virginia to Hiram O. WEST and Catherine CLINTON; married Denver
Clare KESTER, born 1912 in Elizabeth, West Virginia, the son of
Hamilton Gilbert KESTER, born 1 December 1873 in Ritchie County,
West Virginia, son of James J. KESTER and Catherine WILLIAMSON).
The photo album contains very good, well preserved photos of
older people, young men in World War 1 uniforms, family groups,
and children, but I only found one with names: Paul KESTER and
two young ladies, one named Blendina SUMERVILLE. There is a
postcard from Myrtle, dated 12 July 1920, from Brenin, Ohio,
showing her and another woman on "Buckey Lake" (looks like a
fake boat). On the back of some of the photographs is "DAVIES
Studio, Parkersburg, West Virginia, and MILLER's Art Shop,
Lancaster, Ohio. I feel that these photos would be a treasure
to someone researching the KESTER or WEST families. I will scan
copies and send to anyone who thinks that they might be able to
identify them as I want to be sure they are given to a family
member.
