Tim,
I am saddened to hear of your latest problem with the Castor Association.
If there were ever awards given out for the person having the most
difficulties with an Association, I'm sure you would win, hands down!
If I remember correctly, your problems with CAOA began shortly after you
joined which was shortly after I had turned the Castor Lending Library over
to Jeff Custer and I was in the process of finding a vice-president
replacement. You had requested 2-3 books from the Library and I believe you
and I bombarded Jeff for about 2 yrs to send them to you, which was
ridiculous! I e-mailed Jeff for you and I phoned him several times but it
seemed all my cajoling fell on deaf ears.
When Ken became Librarian I believe he sent the books to you. Some time
consideration should have been given to you for the return of the books
since you had waited so long to receive them!
I, for one, hope you will come back. Maybe even try to attend next year's
reunion. Once you get to know everyone and they get to know you, hopefully
you will feel differently about the CAOA. Even though we are all
"electronic" now, we basically still are family and most of us are related
one way or other and want to do what's right for each other.
Ken has had a lot on his mind lately, with his Mother being seriously ill,
being extremely busy at work, beginning a new Travel Agency, taking on the
Library and then the Presidency with all the work that entails and now his
own medical problems!
His patience was probably a little low that day when he was writing to you.
Ken and I used to exchange pleasantries via e-mails but he hasn't had the
time to write in months so I knew he was very busy and had a great deal on
his mind.
So, Tim, please rejoin and give us all another chance to show you we are
family and care about you!
Jo

Hello All:
I have a question that I need to see if someone with the Castor
Association can answer
for me. I have been a member of the Castor Association for the past two
years but did
not renew my membership this year due to a Conflict with the current
President of the Association. What I need help with is that after
requesting books from the associations lending library and it taking two
years to get them since I no longer am a member of the association I
need to know where I need to send the books back to to return them. So I
hope that someone can please email me of where to send the books to so
that they are returned to the associations lending library and so that
all ties with me and the association are totally servered. Thanks and be
waiting to hear from someone soon. Tim in Oregon
