Pat,
Wouldn't it be easier on you if we were to send a copy of our database of
the membership per the Fall of 1997? I realize there will be some who
aren't members anymore and that there are new ones, but the bulk of the
membership was done by me from 1990-1997. It contains the complete
ancestry, not just a partial listing, as in the 1998 Directory.
Unless, of course, you enjoy typing all those dates!
As I have mentioned to you before, we can send it in any form you desire.
BTW, you never answered if and how you would like for us to send a copy of
the News-Caster Index.
Looking forward to hearing from you.

PS I am assuming you have the ancestry of the folks who have joined since
you became v-p and membership chair in June. 1998

Subject: [CASTOR-L] CAOA Family File
Hi CAOA Members, as Membership person for the Castor Association
I am building a lineage file for the 1999 CAOA directory in
Family Tree Maker. I am having to type everything in for 400
members. I thought if you could send me a gedcom file with your
lineage, I could import your file and it would save me hours of
typing. It would also allow me to look up relationships a lot
quicker and help Grace with answering some of the questions on
the list.
Those of you who do not belong to the CAOA, I am also building a
FTM file for Castor researchers to help answer questions on the
list. If you would like to add your data please send me a ged com
file.
I look forward to watching the CASTOR FTM grow. I will also have
it with me at the next reunion in 2000 so everyone can do
searches on it.

PLEASE DO NOT SEND FILES ON THE LIST. It will reject them.
