George,
You know why people from Indiana are called Hoosiers, don't you?
Because they are always saying, "Whose your Mother?" and "Whose your
Father?"

Thank you so much for the response. I have not of trying the
Wayne County idea. I live in Graham, Washington, outside of Tacoma. I
am a Hoosier at heart, but have lived in the state of Washington for
about 15 years because of the military. Tahnk you again for your
response and I am off a searchn. I will keep you in mind when I find
something.

George,
I thought for sure I would have a match for you but struck out again.
I
descend from the Custers from Wayne Co, IN, which as you know,
Richmond is
the county seat. A couple of my Custers (not direct line) changed
their
name to Caster. Well, I checked all those I have and wasn't able to
come up
with a Robert Lucien or anything close to that. That doesn't mean
that the
huge Castor Assoc Files won't have your ancestors listed. (They can
run but
they can't hide from the Assoc sleuths).
Have you tried at Richmond Library and courthouse? I found both
places were
very helpful to me many long years ago. There is a Wayne Co Geneal
Soc and
they will print queries. I believe they are on the Net. Are you
stationed
near a large city where you might take advantage of the LDS Library
facilities? People there will be most helpful to you for nothing.
But I
always leave a small donation to thank them for their kindness. They
are
all volunteers. Hopefully, others on this list can be of more help
than I
have been.
If you do find a relationship with the Custer/Casters, write back as I
have
lots of info I can share with you.
Jo Kester (Kester is my husband's ancestry and Custer is my
grandmother's
ancestry)

Hello to all the decendents of the "Caster" or variation Family Line.
I
happened upon your page while searching for information on the origin
of
the Sir Name "Caster". I have found that there are suppose to be
records dating back prior to the 1066 era in England. I am interested
in researching the lineage of "MY" family name. Can anybody out there
help me without draning my bank account. It seems that there is alot
of
people willing to help for a substantial fee and the results are not
always guarenteed as it is.
I am George Lee Caster, I was born to Robert Lucien Caster and Helen
Marie Davis in Richmond, Indiana on 17 November 1958. I know nothing
of where my father or mother are from because of family lines that are
dead.
Thank you in advance for anyone who will respond to this dispatch.
