Hi Sandra, It is confusing with all the name variations.
The CAOA (Castor Association of America) hosts this list
which means queries can be on any of the variations. We
also host the custer-L(a)rootsweb.com which is for Custer
research. We use the Castor-L as the main association
list. We encourage you to post your information on both
lists.
You can view our website at
http:\\maverick.rootsweb.com\caoa .
The genconnect boards are available for you to post queries
and to list information you have that will help other
researchers find you. On our web page if you click on
'Resources' in the menu it will take you to our resource
page. If you click on 'Rootsweb Matrix' you will see a list
of what is available for research purposes for all the
Castor variation s of the name.

I am new to the list and do not understand the comment regarding the
GenConnect Board. I wonder if it would be pertinent to have a separate
Custer list. I understand the commonalities of Castor and Kester, etc. but
have difficulties seeing how Custer came from this.
