Dear Bob,
The story about George Custer being murdered by the Indians in 1755
always fascinated me. Then his widow married a loyalist and they ended
up in Canada. I always thought that was amazing for Mary to have lived
through all that. I must be a cousin two ways for descendants of
George and Mary Rhoads Custer as John and Hannah Wilcox Rhoads would be
my eight great gp and Arnold and Rebecca Custer would be my seven great
gp. I imagine you have "Ball Cousins" by Margaret B. Kinsey which
gives a little background on the Rhoads and Wilcox families.
Don't really have anything to add, but just wanted to tell you that
the history of George and Mary Rhoads Custer is one of the most
interesting in the Custer/Rhoads family.
All best wishes, Grace
