Hi, gang!
I just wanted to take this opportunity to express my sincere THANKS to
both Patricia Caster and Grace Ebneter for their MANY hours of dedicated
service to our GREAT organization, The Castor Association of America
(CAOA)...
Isn't it fantastic to see the amount of valuable information that has
already passed through our "electronic" paths? And, to think, we've
only been "officially" on-line for 2 months (or less)!!!!!
I would like to encourage any of you who are not yet members of the
Association, to do so. That way, you can continue to get more valuable
information, e.g., through the NEWS-CASTOR, as well as receive a copy of
our Directory (for $3) or check out books from our lending library!!!!!
I am in the process of negotiationg with the people at Competitive Edge
(check out their web site at
http://www.compet.com) to allow us to have
our own line of merchandise. They will provide us with our own CAOA
"link" (URL) that we can add to our home page that will enable an
individual to order directly from Competitive Edge! This will provide
"direct" service to our membership without us having to buy a lot of
merchandise and finding someone to volunteer to manage it. Basically,
the only "up-front" cost will be the art work.
Here are some of the items we're considering as a start: Cotton T-shirt
(w/1 color silk-screen logo on front left chest); Cotton T-shirt
(w/multi-colored embroidery logo on front left chest); Cotton sport
shirt (w/multicolored embroidery logo on front left chest);
Golf/Baseball cap (w/multicolored embroidery logo); Stainless
steel/plastic (silver) comuter mug with black logo; White porcelain
coffee mug (w/black logo); Natural Tote Bag (w/silk-screen logo).
Since the "up-front" charges are still to be worked out (and will come
out of my own pocket book), we might only start with one or two items at
first. Check out the Competitive Edge web site and look at the above
items (click on promotional merchandise). Then, let me know what you
think!
Helping to "Keep the Spirit Alive"!!!!
