Jacob Custer - son of Peter Custer

Jacob and Elizabeth were married at the Goshenhoppen Reformed Church by
Rev. George Michael Weiss. Elizabeth was the daughter of Adam and Catherine
Van Fossen.
Jacob and Elizabeth lived on the Adam Van Fossen plantation in Worcester
Township. This farm was bequeathed to them on November 27, 1771.
Jacob served in the military during the Revolutionary War. He was in the
6th Battalion, Third Company, Worcester Township, Philadelphia County Militia
under the command of Captain Lowry.
Jacob and his brother, Paul, were trustees of the Church in Worcester
Township as were their father and grandfather before them.
Jacob and Elizabeth were buried at the Old Mennonite Cemetery near
Skippack. Jacob's will was dated March 9, 1803, probated December 24, 1804,
and recorded at Norristown.

buried at the Trappe Lutheran Church Cemetery. He was of Upper Providence
when he died.
