CASTO William Harper Casto, 88, of Columbus, a devoted husband, father,
grandfather and brother, retired from Ross Laboratories, died Saturday,
January 12, 2002 at First Community Village. Bill was born on December 18,
1913 in Columbus, Oh. He was a graduate of Gahanna Lincoln High School and
The Ohio State University, a member of First Community Church and a 32nd
degree Mason. He is survived by his two sons, The Rev. Dr. William H.
(Jennifer) Casto, Jr. of Columbus, OH and The Rev. Dr. R. Michael (Sally)
Casto of Delaware, OH; five grandchildren, Shelly (Kevin Fish) Casto,
Trevor
W.P. (Sara Paullin) Casto, Dana A. Casto, Andrew M. Casto, and Daniel
J.W.
Casto; one great-grandson, Gabriel David Casto Fish; his only brother,
Robert J. Casto; one sister, Doris E. Stamm; and several nieces and
nephews.
Bill was preceded in death by his wife of 64 years, Laceryjette V.
Casto,
his parents Albert Harper (Red) Casto and Fannie Pearl Neal Casto and his
sisters Helen M. Casto, Lillian F. Caldwell and Erla J. Sherman. A
Memorial
Service will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, January 21, 2002 at New Life
United
Methodist Church, 25 West Fifth Avenue with The Rev. Jennifer Kimball
Casto
officiating. Family members will greet friends immediately following
the
service at the church where all are invited to a light luncheon. Interment
will be at a later date at Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens. The family
suggests
gifts in Bill's name to The Ohio State University to support the
William
H.
and Laceryjette V. Casto Professorship in Interprofessional Education
which
he and Lacy established in the College of Education, c/o the Office
of
University Development, Fawcett Center, 2400 Olentangy River Road,
Columbus,
Ohio 43210 or to New Life United Methodist Church, 25 W. Fifth
Avenue,
Columbus, Ohio 43201. Arrangements by SCHOEDINGER NORTHWEST CHAPEL, 1740
