Glenard Casto
Glenard Casto, 71, of Atkins, died Monday, March 25, 2002, at his home.
He was born July 27, 1930 in Pope County and was the son of the late James E. and Della
West Casto. He was the Pastor of Bells Chapel Church of Christ for 15 years, a Church of
Christ Minister for 38 years, retired from Dean Foods, and he was the courier for First
Arkansas Valley Bank. He was an Army Veteran of Korean War.
He was preceded in death by a brother, Frank Casto and two sisters, Dolly Shields and
Dovie Crow.
Survivors include his wife, Melvilene Fuller Casot of Atkins; three sons, Robert Glenard
Casto and wife, Jennifer of Leavenworth, Kansas, David and Cindy Casto of Atkins, Glen
Casto and Martha Jones of Atkins; one brother, William Casto of Atkins; one sister, Daisy
Gilbert of Fairhope, Ala.; and three grandchildren, Melissa, Karie and Caleb Casto.
Funeral service was Wednesday, March 27, at the Atkins Church of Christ. Burial was in
the Bells Chapel Cemetery by Lemley Funeral Service.
Pallbearers were Robert Hearne, Raymond Staggs, Jimmy Casto, Charley Casto, Bob Casto, and
A.R. "Punk" Cooksey.
Honorary pallbearers were his nephews, Fred Montgomery, and Charles "Buddy"
Jones.
