After a hint from Betty I started searching the microfilm of the 1910
census. I was looking for Clyde Delbert Casto, son of William E Casto and
Maggie Hill. Looks like I found them. Here's what the census says (for
anyone who may be searching Clyde's siblings):
1910 Mason County WV Census. ED 113: sheet 1A&1B
(Union District, Precinct No. 1)
Mudlick Road house 10, family 10 (no actual address given)
Casto, William E head M W 42? M 14 WV WV WV English Farmer rented farm
Hannah M wife F W 40 M 14 5 5 WV WV WV English none
Willard T son M W 11 S WV WV WV English none
Charles H son M W 9 S WV WV WV
America J daughter F W 5 S WV WV WV
Cora M daughter F W 3 S WV WV WV
Clida D son M W 1 7/12 S WV WV WV
-------------
There were numerous spelling erros throughout this ED, but I'm pretty sure
"Clida D" is my Clyde Delbert b 9 Oct 1908.
Anyone else searching this line that can link up?
Here's a question too...the census says this family rented a farm and under
"Number of farm schedule" says: 10. What does that mean? Is that important
to genealogical work? If so, how do I find it?
I also found some other Casto's in Mason county while looking for Clyde.
Should I post the info I transcribed here? I didn't do a complete
transcription of other families, but made note of names and ages.
