Audrey,
Pluckemin, Somerset Cty, NJ, and the Castners there have held my attention for some time
as a possible origin of Peter Castner, b. 1733, the western Pennsylvania frontiersman
described at
http://my.execpc.com/~slc/petercastner/index.htm. We have traced him only to
his eldest's baptism in old Bucks, now Lehigh County, PA, in 1769. He was then 36
years old.
Do you have a record of children of Johannes and Margaret in addition to Daniel? The date
ranges are right. Peter named his first Joh. Michael and his second Johannes, which
evidences both a conformation with the generation-skipping naming convention and an great
attraction to the name Johannes.
Would appreciate your thoughts.
Regards,
Steve Castner
