Dear Jo:
I also have this baptismal record if you don't receive it, I will be glad
to send it for scanning. I received it from Dr. Jesse Castleberry many years
ago, who went to Germany to retrieve it. It lists Heinrich as the son of
Heinrich Aufm Castleberry and wife, Lisken. Much more research needs to be
done over there. I believe the answers are there, but someone needs to go
over and find them.
I also wanted to check and see if anyone else has come up with any more info
on the line of descent from Heinrich through his son William that married
Margaret Davis (how is this marriage documented by the way?). I have seen
conflicting information on this line, which I come through. For a long time
I thought it was from William and Margaret to another William that married
Sarah Martin, but last year when I was writing a story for the Heritage of
Lamar Co., AL book, I found that this might not be so. One researcher had
this line as a Henry instead of William that married Sarah Martin, and they
were found in GA. There is a gap there I need to fill. The William Martin
Castleberry of KY, was supposedly the son of this Sarah Martin (daughter I
heard of a Ralph Martin), and he was living at one time in Augusta, GA,
according to his Rev. War records. How did he get there? Was he in fact the
son of this Henry, instead of William? Can someone clear this up for me? I
would like documentation (printed), but can't seem to find it. I am the
third great granddaughter of Dorcas Castleberry Howton, a daughter of
William Martin Castleberry and Elizabeth Smith.
Thanks,
Sabra
