Hi Kathy,
I had just printed out your messages so I could compare to my database.
Other than a few lines where nearly everyone was named in a will, many
of us reach a "preponderance of the evidence" point. Mine is at John
Castleberry, Sr.
Evidence or lack of??? -
1. John CASSELBERRY sold his land in Pennsylvania and sorta disappears.
Did he go to Georgia with John, Sr.????
2. John was to inherit from his father Heinrich if he was obedient.
after my wifes Diceass I give that part of land to my son John
Casselbery if he proves dutifull to his Mother and if other wise I give
but ten poounds to be paid when his Mother see fitt
Then, in Catherine's will
he is not mentioned, but then none of the
other boys are either, except Derrick, so that really doesn't count.
Gee, that sure is a lack of preponderance!

Subject: Elijah Franklin Castleberry
Dear Jo,
As mentioned on the webpage that you listed on CASTLBERRY-L, I thought I
would email you regarding my branch of the Castleberry family. I can't
prove much before my great great great grandparents...but I'll give you what
I have found if you are interested in having it. It concerns Elijah
Franklin Castleberry that was born about 1819 in probably Caldwell Co., KY.
Elijah...or Franklin as I have occasionally seen him mentioned...was
probably the son of William Martin Castleberry Jr. and Jenny Fox. I have
also seen him listed as an only child of what must have been a brief first
marriage between William Martin Castlberry Jr. and a woman whose maiden name
was Franklin. Haven't gotten anywhere close to discovering which is true as
far as umimpeachable sources go.
Let me know if you want this.
