Here is Paul's, I posted William's pension file to the GenConnect Boards
Wednesday. Be sure to check it out. If you have never tried to
transcribe records, it is a strain on the eyes. Many of the pages could
only be transcribed from the microfilm as they would not print out. And
many of the pages were so faint they were impossible to read. If anyone
else has worked on these and have corrections please feel free to submit
them.

I jOhn Leatherwwod do hereby certify that I was acquainted with Isaiah
Haldridge a few year's previous to his marriage to Nancy Castleberry
widow of Paul Castleberry dec. and have understood that he had ? wife
being at ??? he married the said Nancy Castleberry which I ??? ???
doubted by anyone and that he left a short time after said marriage and
I have never heard of him since which was previous to the fall of
eighteen hundred and forty four but cannot recollect the precise time. I
am duly satisfied that it wqas previous to the fall of eighteen hundred
& forty four from the fact that Richard Castleberry the stepson of Nancy
Castleberry moved to Mississippi in the fall of 1844 and that said
marriage was previous to his moving away and that I am now fifty two
years and have no interest in this claim.
Taken on oath before me the 11 day of may 1857 Wm Leatherwood

I Richard Woodruff do hereby certify that I performed the marriage
ceremony between Isaiah Waldrop and Nancy Castleberry above named in
1843 or 1844 but cannot fix the precise time and ??? affirm ??? heard he
(Waldrop) had another wife living and had run away ??? ??? with a
prosecution for bigamy by Sexton Taylor and have never heard of Waldrop
since and from the circumstances connected with the case I think it
highly probable that he (Waldrop) had another wife living at the time of
his marring to the said Nancy Castleberry as above stated. I am now and
have been for the last twenty five years a Baptist Clergyman and have
no interest in that application.
Taken on oath Richard Woodruff

I Catherine Garrett do hereby certify that Isaiah Waldrop was living at
my house at the time he was married to Tempa Gregory and was present
and witnessed the marriage performed by John Bradley a magistrate of
Spartanburgh Districh SC. ?? them untill they left for South Carolina or
Tennissee as they run away in the night time and had three children at
that time the oldest of whom was named Franklin that said Isaiah Waldrop
returned in 12 or 18 months said his wife Tempa had left him and taken
up with another man and had another woman with him who he claimed as his
wife and is I understood that he went to his mothers in Lawrence
district and broke ??? a still house and was ??? back to Spartanburgh
district and I know the same woman he brought out with him came in
search of him and said she was going on back where she came from and
about that time or shortly after I understood he (Waldrop) married Nancy
Castleberry above named widow of Paul Castleberry Dec'd some six or
seven mile below where I live and as I understood left her in a few
days after the marriage as he was about to be prosecuted for having two
or three wives and that I have never heard of him since and that he told
me himself a very short time before he married Nancy Castleberry that
his first wife was then living but had taken off with another man but I
cannot recollect the dates of the above ??? occasion but am fully
satisfied that it is twelve or thirteen years since he left the Country
I am now sixty three years old or upwards and have no interest in this
claim
