Jennifer,
Thanks for your reply.
You are absolutely correct that "Luvicey" is spelled a number of different
ways in various records.
In the delayed 1830 Houston County, Ga. probate proceeding for Joseph Wood,
her first husband, she is identfied as Lovecey Wood and Lavissa Castleberry
on the same line of that proceeding.
In the 1850 and 1860 Calhoun County, Ga. censuses she is identifed as
Louisa.
The 1860 Calhoun County census identifed Lovecey and William as paupers.
Another researcher believes they moved to Decatur County, Ga. after 1860,
but I cannot find them there.
William and Lovecy apparently had only two children, Miilton and Elias, born
1830 and 1832 respectively in Ga., probably Houston County or perhaps
Randolph.
Do you know the parents of your Luvicey?
Ralph

Subject: [CASTLEBERRY] William and Luvicey Burial Unknown
Ralph,
Have not been able to establish death dates and burial locations for William
and Luvicey/Lovissa. My great grandmother was named Samantha Luvicey
Castleberry Miller. I presume the Luvicey was for her grandmother whose name
is
spelled a number of different ways in the records.
