Subject: Re: [CASTLEBERRY] is there a site for Castleberry?
Dear Shirley:
Yes, this is the site, and that is my family too. I had hoped to get
members
to contribute so I could figure out the line between Henry Casselberry
(aka
Heinrich aufm Kesselberg II) and William Martin Castleberry, whom you
referenced. He is my ancestor also. I had for years, conflicting data on
those in the middle. Robert Westover had William Castleberry and Margaret
Davis as the second generation of our line, then William Castleberry and
Sarah Martin I think. Now I understand a lady named Gwen Salsig has come up
with William and Margaret and then Henry and Sarah Martin. There is a will
in GA for Henry and Sarah, but it does not name but one child, not William
Martin Castleberry, though indicates there were other children. Based on
where he enlisted, near Augusta, GA, I think, I would accept that this may
be correct. I have never had any documentation on the William and Sarah
theory from Robert Westover. He has never shared with me where he got his
info, or any of his info period. He just has taken all of my line to
assimilate into a book he never printed. Another researcher he corresponded
with named Mary Bonnie, was the one that shared what he gave to her. He
went
to Germany with Dr. Jesse Castleberry a number of years ago, and
retrieved
the christening record for Heinrich II, that gave Heinrich I and Lisken as
his parents. If it weren't for Dr. Castleberry, no one would have known
that. I hope maybe someone can verify the line from Heinrich to William
Martin Castleberry. Can you?
