I'm going to skip the quote of your message Sue and get to the basics.
First of all, everyone (especially my husband) around home knows what a
rough time I was having keeping my computer up and running. I was down
to the basics of grab my email and then was kicked off line -- the whole
system would freeze up.
Fortunately, I've been able to purchase a new system and am now playing
major catchup with genealogy, webpages, etc.
I tried searching manually (ugh), on the Gay connection. There were two
Gay marriages to Castleberry women, but when I locate this info it may
have come from "The Gamp Tree".
As to the Gamp Tree, I find some of the information more useful as a
direction to search in, but not necessarily trustworthy as to using it
as a source. So much was submitted that "well, _________ told me...."
type.
Another good point is that there is lots of data included, especially in
the first couple of years.
Another problem (which we all have at one time or another) is the
submittal of information that had two lines intermixed.
And last (for the moment) but not least is where did the original
documents go to afterwards???? I wrote to Dr. Jesse Castleberry and
never received an answer to my question. What I did receive (in my
SASE) was a notice to purchase his book.
