Unfortunately what is in Ingraham's book hasn't helped me at all because I
can't tie Roswell back to his parents. I have searched NEGHS, town histories in VT,
CT, NY through Heritage Quest and again coming up with a blank. I know from VT records
that he was in the war of 1812, but that doesn't surprise me being Castleton was part
of the battle ground. According to the Hartwell genealogy Roxana died in 1819, and Roswell
was suppose to have moved back to Bath, NY. If he did I can't find records to prove or
disprove that. The best lead I have so far is that I found Roswell in the 1810 census in
Rutland Co., VT as Roswell Caswell and in the 1820 census as Roslin Caswell. I am really
stumped because I can't find one clue.
