Esther Castle, d/o Samuel and Martha married Jeptha Hawley, s/o Jehiel
Hawley and Sarah Dunning. Jehile Hawley is credited with having founded
Arlington Vermont, and he was a Tory. Probably the Jehiel you mentioned
stemed as a family name from that source. The Castle family and the Hawley
did a lot of marrying.
I suspect the David Castle you mentioned is the David who married Phebe
Sanford, had several children and died in Jericho, Chittenden, VT.
