Does anyone have any information on David Castle and wife Mehitable that had a daughter Eunice born 2/21/1774 in Arlington, Vermont? Could this be David Castle son of Samuel and Martha who married Phebe Sanford? Any information will be appreciated.

If you should see the name Castle again in your research, please let me know! It might be the key to this little mystery.

I think Marcena had a first wife Susan Bloodgood who died and I remember seeing the name Castle somewhere but I can't recall where. The wife he had in the later census was named Amelia. I tried to look on the lds.org site but I couldn't find anything. Good luck with your search. Sophia Knower may have been related to Marcena's first wife and he kept her safe with them.

Thanks for your reply. I think Sophia must have been more than a boarder because you'll find her with this family in the 1850, 1860 and 1870 censuses as well as in 1880. She even moved with the family as they moved from town to town. If she were a close relative, the census taker would have been able to write 'sister' or whatever she was, but it doesn't seem to be that simple.
Time will tell.

When looking up Cornelius Dickinson who I believe was my great great great grandfather I saw the name Knower and also wondered how they might be related to the Dickinson family. I don't think she was related but if you look into the 1880 census you will see her again at age 76 and it looks like it says she was a boarder. It is under Marcena Dickinson of Rockland County. I am sorry I have no other information for you. Carole Dickinson Vahey

Would like to confirm if this Eveline Stewart is the daughter of James Stewart and Kate Park.
Eveline was born 1920 in the Edmonton area of London. She had a sister called Betty Rebecca b: 1921 Edmonton who may have married a Roy Tuplin in 1944.
James Stewart b:1898 d:1971 owned several fish and chip shops in and around London. His father-in-law Judah Park was a fishmonger!
Ernest and Eveline may have had a son Phillip J b: 1946 in the Islington area.
Any info appreciated.
