T. Casteel:
Were the references to the bastardy suit transcribed and on the Internet.
We've been interested in this suit before, since it seems to fit into a time
frame for our Alexander Casteel of McMinn County Tennessee, probably born
about 1800, who has no apparent parents. He could certainly have been the
offspring of the naughty John Casteel. Could anyone get a copy of the bastardy
suit?

He is mentioned in a case citing that he was living on land owned by
Abednego Casteel
and in another case he was charged with 'Bastardy' - this one had a rather
lengthly acct of the charge.
The court minutes I was looking at where books 0-9 circa 1796-1811.
