Robert H. Castile:
Born 12/09/1844 in Hamilton County Tennessee.
Died 1/27/1910 in St. Louis City Hospital of Pneumonia.
Buried in Potter's Field, St. Louis Missouri.(Nobody has heard of ) Enlisted
in the Civil War 11/10/1864 at Pilot Knob Missouri.
Served duty in Tennessee, commanded by Captain Francis Dinger.
Became sick while on march from Springhill to Pulaski and was left in
Columbia Tennessee with forty other sick soldiers in an unoccupied building.
Honorably discharged 3/28/1865 at Benton Barracks in St. Louis. Height 5'9
1/2"to 5'101/2".
Blue/Grey eyes with light brown hair.
Lived primarily in Iron and Jefferson County Missouri after the war, but
lived in Monroe County Illinois during the year 1866.
