I mailed the following to Gilbreath and hope that someone can connect the CASTEELS FOR ME.
Milla CASTEELand possibly cousin or sister Susan married Samuel Gilbreath in either TN or
N.C.
MILLA CASTEEL'S FATHER WAS REPORTED TO ME AS JOHN.
As I remember the problem with both the Casteels and the Gilbreaths was the numerous
population with the same name. i.e. John

Subject: Samuel/N.C. to John Maphet in Mo
It has been 10 years since I was actively able to research this family and I hope someone
has moved onward.
Much of the information from TN and N.C. was sent to me--Lawrence Co. ARK I have record

Several cousins married so I have

(did he marry twice?)
+ Milla Casteel

1819-1822 AR
+ ? Susan ? Casteel
2.John Gilbreath ca 1810 TN m 22 Dec 1839 ARK to Rachael M. Pool
3. John Maphet Gilbreath son of John (2) and Rachael Pool
born 24 May 1849 in Ind. Ark
m. 1 Nov 1868 in Mississippi Co. MO (married cousin-Martha
Gilbreath)
d. 19 May 1912 Sikeston, MO
4. Hita Claudia Gilbreath b 1 Jul 1887 Scott Co., MO

Any help would be greatly appreciated on either the Gilbreaths or Casteels
Hi there, I have a lot of info on the Missouri Castile/Casteels. My line came from TN with
the Ogle family. The farthest back I can get on my Castiles is Robert Castile born in the
1830's. He was the father to Robert Castile/Casteel (spelled this way on one of the
mid 1800 census sheets) who ended up living with the Ogles in Mo and marrying their
daughter Emaline Ogle in Joachim Twnshp, Jefferson County MO. WE have Castile/Casteel
cousins all over here but due to my gr grandfathers Allen Castile not telling anyone of
his first marriage to Adelaide Abert (Marine, Ill.) or his two children with her, Allen
-my grandfather and Adel my great Aunt, they don't acknowledge us. I have managed to
convince one cousin of our blood kinship but I guess the rest of the family isn't
interested.
I have pictures and copies of census and marriage certificates and so much more. I am
willing to share what I have. We did do DNA testing, and match some others.
You can contact me at Colleenlopez(a)yahoo.com, make sure you put Castile in the subject
line so I don't accidently delete you.
Thanks for your time, I am living back in Missouri once again!
