Jim's research is the source I used. We would have to ask that
of him. As
I
said in my original note, I had not confirmed any of his facts
because I
believed he had so I will check with him to find his source.
Jim was a member of this list at one time. So maybe he can answer us here. I
originally had the 1845 date myself. I didn't get it from Jim though. My
genealogy program crashed about 6 years ago and all I was able to recover was
a GEDCOM file I had created which didn't have notes. The program I was using
no longer exists. I still have the file somewhere, but I can't retreive the
info. Since he was born in Pontotoc County, I should be able to find him on
the 1850 census as either a 5 year old or 1 year old. I don't know when they
left MS, but I have access to all the MS censuses at the public library here.
I will be able to check on Tuesday.
